Dr Dean Federman completed his radiology training at The Alfred Hospital Melbourne in 2008 and later underwent fellowship training in MRI and body imaging. After commencing practising in private radiology in 2010, Dean became head of the MRI services at MDI Radiology, establishing their first MRI service before expanding the service to other clinics.
Dean is currently the chief radiologist at Capital Monash House Clayton, offering a fully comprehensive radiology service with a special interest in MRI, Musculoskeletal (MSK) radiology, spinal imaging, and radiological intervention. Dean works closely with many sports physicians, pain management doctors and surgeons, and has been a regular guest speaker at medical and allied health sports and spinal meetings. He has a strong interest in education and has been the supervising radiologist for MRI and musculoskeletal fellowship training of junior radiologists at Monash House. He has been a member of the Capital medical advisory committee and has previously overseen the company MRI services and education, and more recently was a member of Capital’s Victorian Clinical Leadership Committee (VCLC).
