About:

Dr. Monica Pahuja is a Women’s Imaging Specialist with a specific career focus on Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound and Gynaecological MRI, Breast Imaging and Paediatric Imaging.

Dr. Pahuja qualified as a Radiologist in 2001 having trained at the Alfred Hospital.

She currently holds the position of Head of Women’s Imaging (Breast and Gynaecology) at Monash Health. Dr.Pahuja was previously the Director of Medical Imaging at the Mercy Hospital for Women and has also worked at the Royal Women’s Hospital and Tertiary Obstetric Unit at Monash Ultrasound for Women.

Dr. Pahuja was Senior Radiologist for Breast Imaging Victoria over a period of 10 years and has vast expertise in breast imaging.

Dr. Pahuja was involved with the peak reference body for ultrasound, ASUM for 15 years. Her roles were committee member, scientific convenor for the annual conference and helped write the revised curriculum for the DDU. She sat on the Board of Examiners (DDU) for the Australasian retiring from the prior appointment of Secretary (4 years) and Chair (6 years).

Dr. Pahuja is the Chair of the US reference group for the Royal College of Radiologists and is also on the Faculty for the Royal Melbourne Hospital teaching program for radiology trainees.

Many of the clinical articles relating to Women’s Imaging on The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) website ‘Inside Radiology’ under women’s imaging were authored by Dr Pahuja.
